What is a portrait? A portrait is a face and a face is made of places trodden, both in our minds and in the world: countries, cultures, family, friends, careers and passions.
A face is made from the experiences we gather over our lifetimes. Experiences of love, loss, opportunity, disappointments, joy, hope, endings and new beginnings.
A face is made of others. Our parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children and life partners. The people who have surrounded us our whole lives, and the people who are no longer here.
A face contains so much and that is what I want to capture when I take your portrait, the countless threads that tell your story and make you unique.
